Former Town midfielder Darren Ambrose has signed a new three year contract with Crystal Palace to end speculation linking him with a move away from the club.
The 26 year old wideman has been the subject of interest by several clubs in the Championship over the summer, with Neil Warnock's QPR said to be leading the race to sign the player. Ambrose's new deal however has put paid to that and the player will now be staying at Selhurst Park.
Speaking to the Official Crystal Palace website, Ambrose said: "It's been a hard few months with all the speculation about my future, but I am delighted to be signing the new contract.
"It was great to see George Burley appointed as he was someone who gave me my chance as a kid and he knows how to get the best out of me,
"It's great that I am going to be working with him again at such a big club. We have such a great fan base and I just wanted to repay them for all their great support last season by signing a new contract."
